It was only a matter of weeks ago that Sir Christopher Chope got attacked from all sides. His crime? Suggesting a slack handful of our 650 politicians (the vast majority had obviously decided it was poets day) wasn't enough to support a change in the law ('upskirting') that would see people jailed for up to two years. His argument was that if the law was going to be changed to drastically upgrade the punishment shouldn't it be properly debated rather than passed by the politicians too dim to be enjoying their poets day?
