Right Again

Remember, when you were a kid, if you repeated a word often enough it just became a noise; a meaningless sound that you could make but no longer conveyed any meaning? The same thing happens with meaningless hyperbolic usage which decrees that all news events are billed as tumultuous, and leaders are furious, or stunned. A resignation from cabinet leaves a government in shock, in crisis, and the PM responds in fury. If it was your kids using this sort of language you would laugh, but it’s not the kids, is it?

When Margaret Thatcher dragged the axis of British politics back towards the centre, towards what most people really think, the left screeched in fury [see what I did there?] and called her Hitler, when it was actually ex-Labour voters who put her into Downing Street. Disillusioned by the unions’ failure to get Britain working, with their muscle flexing strike action and combative language, they turned to somebody who spoke directly to them.

Be aspirational, own your own home, inspire your kids to do better, strive to be independent of state aid, earn and save and have a happy retirement and be able to look back and recognise what you had achieved for yourself. Nobody should be able to order you to strike, or insist you vote for a particular party. Britain had, for centuries, been a truly free country and nobody was called right wing merely for wanting to get ahead.

But since then we have drifted ever leftward and accepted, almost without any resistance, curbs on our freedoms, principally our freedom to say what we think and accept the consequences. There is a fatal flaw in being centrist and that is a reluctance to see ourselves as victims, and as a result we have no appetite for mass demonstrations, or to push our perfectly reasonable beliefs onto others. But on the left, the appetite for revolution grows stronger even as time continues to reveals evidence whatsoever for socialist success.

Looking out for number one is a trait of all species, but only one species gives it a name. They call it ‘far-right’ and every news station prefaces every story about any character not of the left or centre as far-right. Thus, non-communist agitators are far-right terrorists, institutions that represent the tax-paying classes are far-right think tanks, and anybody leading a party that advocates free speech is a far-right politician.

This morning it’s the ‘far-right AFD Party’ in Germany, presumably because they include the name of their country in their party moniker. Patriotism is not an attribute recognised by the left; unconstrained by borders, the left just hates anybody who isn’t them. The left in the USA are gleefully anticipating Donald Trump’s Covid death, or else claiming it is a political ruse to avoid debate. Either way, it looks to me like the left behaving exactly as they accuse the right, or centrists, of behaving.

To anybody with a sense of perspective the repeated use of ‘far-right’ has become a meaningless background noise, signalling only that the following debate, news story, discussion, interview comes pre-packaged with bias. Even to be impartial now is deemed to be a form of political activism, by which tortuous route the meticulously even-handed Andrew Neil is now labelled by many on the left as a far-right enemy of reason.

The far right - improving your lives.

So, yeah, call me an extremist for not wanting to pay even more of my hard-earned into a rapacious system which only ever wants me to give more while watching them piss it straight into the economic drain of black-eco-gender matters. See, I’m no monster, but I really don’t give a shit that you are unhappy with your lot in life. Live and let live was our mantra; if you think that is far right then your problems are way bigger than you imagine.

Look into my eyes

Look into my eyes, says the hypnotist. Breathe deeply and slowly…. Your eyelids are feeling heavy; don’t fight it. Let yourself relax as you sink into a deep sleep. When you wake up you will believe you are a chicken. No, wait, that’s old hat; let me think. Yes, listen to my voice as I take you on a journey… when you wake up you will believe… almost anything I tell you. The soporific tones continue until, “One, two, three, you’re awake!”

Is this what they mean when they say, ‘wake up’? When they instruct you to read some history, or educate yourself, or send you a string of links before blocking you and thus ‘winning’ the argument? Following the instructions has led them to some dark places where uncertainty meets suspicion and suspicion meets the unassailable truth of consensus. If everybody I interact with believes a thing then, ergo, that thing must be true.

So, if you wish, Margaret Thatcher said ‘there is no such thing as society’ and Michael Gove said ‘we’ve had enough of experts’. The Prime minister is a racist who wrote of picaninnies and watermelon smiles and David Icke is a new saviour, walking among us to spread the truth and light the way. If you carefully select your soundbites and studiously avoid the stark and complete truth then you will eventually follow your hypnotist’s words.

Except there is no hypnotist – that would be a conspiracy theory of chucklesome proportions – there is only you and the people you listen to… and possibly the voices in your head. When you join the dots it is best to use a blunt instrument; the thicker the marker pen, the easier it is to make connections between unrelated facts. And how do you know they are facts anyway? I do see the irony of my warning, but blog posts are hardly peer-reviewed evidence, are they?

But in recent years even the peer review process has been brought into disrepute as ‘cancel culture’ has injected partisan biases and sought to discredit perfectly reasonable theses while legitimising favoured narratives. If you are suffering due to the restrictions during the Covid panic, naturally you want somebody to blame; and if you are already predisposed to see the dark fingers of globalists in every pie, you will lap up the latest loony conjecture as cast-iron proof.

“It’s all about control. It is coordinated by the World Economic Forum. It is ‘the great reset’. The tests are deliberately engineered to show positives where no virus exists. George Soros and Bill Gates are paying to indoctrinate and vaccinate your children. They are creating a world of compliant slaves, chipped and branded… and owned. Wake up, man! See the plot in everything you observe. BLM, Antifa, Hate-no-Hope, XR, the anti-maskers… this is the people’s resistance!”

Good grief, get a grip. Do you even hear yourselves? William of Ockham must be turning in his grave. The principle holds true that given two explanations of events, the one which requires the smallest number of assumptions, the smallest number of dots to join, is by far the most likely to be correct. A machine composed of the greatest number of moving parts is far more likely to break down than an altogether simpler mechanism. It’s the same with theories.

You will fall into a deep sleep - Oh, the irony!

The more connections you have to make to arrive at your conclusions, the less likely it is that your conclusions will withstand scrutiny. The more people that are involved in a plot, the less likely it is that the plot remains concealed and unfoiled. And the more apparently open a conspiracy is the less likely it is to be an actual conspiracy. Just as evolution is elegantly simple and a million times more likely than the impossibly complex theory of divine creation, isn’t it far more likely that the major force at work here is not conspiracy, but cock-up?

Never let a crisis go to waste

If you believe a map that is doing the rounds at the moment the latest outbreaks of the virus appear to afflict mainly Labour voting areas. Being full cognisant of confirmation bias, I nevertheless say, of course, what else would you expect? The leafy suburbs of prosperous commuters, now working from home and continuing to earn a decent living, give ample opportunity to isolate. Why, I have never even had a conversation with the neighbours, let alone any wider community.

But if you live cheek-by-jowl with the consequences of your chaotic social activities it is little wonder that you resemble a virus playground. Born into poverty, into a world where everybody you know has some familial connection with you, how else are you expected to navigate your life. The man who sleeps with your mother is not your father and the sisters and brothers you grow up with are only half-siblings. Your ‘aunties and uncles’ may or may not be blood… but they are probably not very far removed.

Whereas skilled professionals tend to have a social life that extends way beyond the immediate family, with acquaintanceships regularly sacrificed along the road to success; house moves, job moves, etc, the lives of Britain’s working classes are often lived entirely within the tribe. From school into work and a social life lived very much within a small geographical area, it is little wonder that such huddled communities have their own history and their own folklore.

Labour knows this and exploits a fierce tribal mythology that says all your problems stem from the hated Tories and all the solutions lie with Labour. Despite Labour strongholds serially failing to improve the lot of their constituents – often presiding over the corruption and decline which accompanies such nepotistic structures – it is still Boris Johnson who personally kicked the forkful of food from your mouth.

It is no surprise that certain Labour MPs have been exposed as gleefully exploiting the pandemic for political ends. And it will be no surprise that it will work, and the denizens of our crowded cities will return Labour MPs at the next election; there is so little the Conservatives can do about it. When generations have experienced the same privations, regardless of who was in power, why would they vote for people they have been brought up to see as rapacious ogres? Labour MP Jess Phillips even said as much; that in her family Tories were just regarded as evil.

Even if the current government were to pursue a ruinous policy of showering riches on these unproductive communities it would just be seen as naked bribery. As unpalatable as this message has become, ultimately it is not the job of government to make you rich or healthy. Or happy. Only you can ultimately do that. But if you have been brought up to expect failure and embrace mediocrity, it is unlikely you will participate in any new economic opportunities.

No. You will huddle closer together, tell yourselves that the Tories hate you and ignore the injunctions to socially distance, to maintain vigilance. But what other choice do you have? You will have to go to work to make ends meet – no WFH for you – and the virus will run riot through your ranks. It will just become another episode in your long history of being stuck at the bottom.

The next Labour manifesto - same as all the rest.

The chances are extremely high that you will survive, develop immunities, and carry on breeding. You will blame any suffering on the Conservative government and carry on with your miserable lives convinced that a Labour government would have done things entirely different. But as harsh as it sounds, your plight is neither caused by the Tories nor can be solved by Labour. Only you can do that… but will you?

Bow before your masters

Forget Sars-Cov-2; we’re going to win that battle and it won’t take all that long in the overall scheme of things. And while I can’t say it openly on Twitter, for fear of upsetting followers who are determined to see the illuminati around every corner and the Rothschilds behind every deal, it strikes me that with all the hysteria over it we are taking our eyes off the most important existential threat we actually do face.

Our woke media and their callow disciples think there is nothing to worry about the threat that islam presents to an already weakened west. They say it’s islamophobia, that it’s just a bunch of old racists getting rancid over brown people. But it’s not; islam has an avowed intent to dominate the world and to have every human being submit to their very unlovely beliefs. If Christianity is a crock – and it is – it at least preaches peace and love and has inspired some of mankind’s greatest achievements.

What does the new islamic regime offer the followers of the mad mullah mohammed? Penury, it seems, in return for the false promise of an afterlife which mostly appears to offer endless gang-bangs for males; if any muslim women get to go to their heaven it appears they will be recycled as virgins and made available to the rape gangs which seems to be an obsession for muslim men. That or sultanas, depending on which depraved translation of the koran, you decide to follow. It somehow doesn’t seem very progressive.

So this story from Germany is unwelcome news indeed. In denying the appeal to sanity from locals who have been and will continue to be aurally raped by the wailing, the authorities have decided that the hideous call to jihad ‘prayer’ will resume. “Every society must accept that one will sometimes be aware that others exercise their faith,” The judge said, asserting once again the supremacy of ‘the new Germans’ over those who actually built all that the interlopers benefit from.

Across Europe mosques have been erected where no sane local authority would grant permission for any other form of building, let alone the eyesores which are the recruiting grounds for yet more unstable malcontents. Whereas some middle eastern temples are magnificent – at least in appearance (their construction quality having much in common with their culture) – those erected in civilised countries are huge armoured monoliths where the indigenous governments have forfeited their right to police.

To counter the criticism we are repeatedly informed that their numbers are small, their intentions lawful and that they contribute to the economies of developed lands, presumably by providing endless new work for benefits clerks. Small numbers? Try telling that to the cowed non-muslim inhabitants of the many islamic shitholes littered around the British Isles. That they appear to get preferential treatment, ahead of the indigenous, speaks volumes about the fear of governments in the face of a faith which brooks no dissent.

Place of worship, or fortress for the coming war?

So, once again, a warning that will fall on deaf ears. If you want your daughters to avoid the hideous prospect of being raped and trafficked then convert them now, before they hit puberty. If you don’t want your sons to suffer assault and battery then tell them to grow their beards, get on their knees and don’t dare to be gay. And as for your wives, beat them gently, cover them up and make them use the other door. Alternatively, grow a set and start fighting back.

Celluloid

Mansfield MP, Ben Bradley, has come out as a racist. Obviously, that never happened but what he has done is stated that he will not attend unconscious bias training. Why? Because it is utter rubbish. In fact, far from trying to rid you of your ‘unhelpful’ attitudes it is more likely to instil either a deep self-loathing or a fully unconscious prejudice against the people who ordered and delivered the training and all that they represent.

Actually, on reflection, maybe we should all attend such training so that we can better know the enemy. In a world where your children are exposed from an early age to rewritten history and led to despise their own grandparents as ignorant old racists it would be wise to examine and deconstruct the sinister lexicon of twisted race rhetoric and confected grievance, the better to counter it.

Everywhere you look it seems that somebody is changing this country. The way we look, how we speak, even what we think. Sadiq Khan is intent on accelerating the process by changing the appearance of London itself. Street names and statues will just be the vanguard of wholesale cultural vandalism. If you let the facts talk, statistically the correct number of minority ethnic contributors to this nation’s history can be counted on the fingers of a single hand.

That amounts to a correctly proportionate representation of exactly zero BAME statues, and a matching number of BAME streets. If anything, non-British ethnicity is not only over-represented as it is, it is grotesquely paraded everywhere you look. It is on the streets, on the screens and in your face, every minute of every day. Cowering footballers ‘taking the knee’, broadcasters giving over every discussion show to the subject, comedians (of a sort) basing their entire acts on the theme.

A historian of the future, indeed historians of today, for the medium is now mature, would do well to study not just the facts but the portrayal of the facts in movies, broadcasts, books, theatre and social media. Many people are already poring over social media and writing about the influences on people right now, but it will only be in hindsight that the full picture will be revealed, and it is no oil painting. (How long before portraits are removed from National Trust properties throughout the land?)

What do you mean, you thought Superman was white?

The movies of old praised valour and achievement and the baddies usually lost. While never an accurate portrayal of real life they nevertheless reflected the aspirations and ambitions of we mere mortals and inspired us to be better. Much, if not most of today’s Hollywood output explores the darker recesses of the human condition, focussing on failure, frailty and succumbing to temptation. Once, you knew the bad guy because he would be played by a British actor. In the future will the proxy for evil just be anybody white?
